The stories
behind the blooms.
A beloved person. A song that stayed. A moment in the garden. Meet the people and memories behind the names of our daylilies.
Explore the collection ↓Browse collections shaped by family, humor, music, and the unexpected. Each story preserves the flower’s hybridizer credit and the meaning behind its name.
Meet the storytellers.
Browse hybridizers alphabetically by last name, plus a special thank-you collection from Brown’s Ferry Gardens. Single-name credits are listed under that name.
These are credits recorded in our collection, not a worldwide ranking or a complete registry. Joint stories are grouped under the first named person; full hybridizer credits stay with each story. Verified name variants share a profile; original credits remain with each story. Unverified variants stay separate. Only reviewed naming stories are displayed.
